Jamyn Jodice

Reluctantly recruited by a friend in 1995 to assist with live sound support for various events in the Sacramento area, I started my adventure in audio production and found it to be generally associated with a challenging load-ins, long hours and optimistic timelines. In these early days, the financial return could be somewhat marginal, but sometimes there was free food.

In addition to various other events, I was fortunate enough to work as a Stage manager for five years at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee (from 2005 to 2010). Typically, supporting 25 bands per weekend with a variety of music genres including, Big Band, Blues, Country, Dixie Jazz, Latin Jazz, Rhumba, Swing and Zydeco.

Since 2008, I have worked as the dedicated Audio Technician for several bands regularly traveling throughout northern California and western Nevada areas and occasionally into central and southern California. Around 2015, PA systems started to transition from analog mixers and racks full of amplifiers to powered speakers and digital mixers with built-in processing. Suddenly, the equipment got lighter and the iPad became a mobile mixer. For me, this was a very welcome change. Using an iPad, I could now mix from any location at an event, especially in front of the speakers (rather than from the side of the stage).

Throughout my journey, I have met many talented musicians and performers. No exception to this are the amazing members of the Innersoul Band. I joined this exceptional group in 2018 and through this relationship, I have grown both professionally and personally. It is a great privilege to be part of the Innersoul experience and I appreciate everyone who comes to dance and listen to the music.
